How it started to how it finished - Medusa tattoo idea. You guys have no idea how bad I am at remembering to take photos of my work in progresses. I usually only remember when I’m like 80% done

Another in the tattoo ideas. This took me way longer than I thought. I’ve always liked the idea of Medusa having different species of snake.
Did the rattlesnake with its skull to represent the death of the human woman she was before the unjust punishment of Athena who turned her into a gorgon.
I cannot for the life of me do faces so covered her eyes with a blindfold and I’m eh on the lips. The snakes in this are bottom moving to the right and circling left:

I think I might have to redo this one. Mostly because the rectangle had some bleeding, but I also, kind of, most definitely, had a few glasses of wine when I was drawing this and when I got to the folded wing the detailing wasn’t what I was looking for when I saw this drawing again when I woke up

Second sketch of the week - did the first sketch idea in my sketchbook, then wanted to see how it would turn out being drawn in ink. Came out better than I expected! Ink is an unforgiving medium as there is little room for error

Had an idea to mix animals with wrong skulls. This sketch is a Maned Wolf with a Deer Skull. Have about 5 other animal combos I want to do

Haven’t posted in a while … and as I was thinking about my personal health 2023 resolutions I realized I never make any about improving as an artist. So I decided I’m going to do at least 3 sketches a week and paint at least one. I love feathers so I think this will be my current focus for the next few weeks
